Receiving, Ticketing & Distribution
Packaging is a key and indispensable step in preparing any shipment for transport ensuring for optimal transport conditions and the safety of your goods
Packages pass through many hands during their journey to the our customer, going through first-mile service providers, air freight personnel, air or ocean port terminal staff, customs, and last mile partners just to name a few.
With this in mind, old boxes or boxes that don’t have the strength for the type of product we are collecting or receiving for shipping could damage the package or its contents in transit, hence we ensure all shipment are packaged properly before shipping, we focus on the below main packing options.
Whereby we are in direct contact with the product itself, received from the supplier, checking that the first layer of the product is in good condition which is often intended for the end user or consumer, adding cushioning in the form of Foam or cardboard inserts, Bubble wrap and or Airbags before the next packaging stage takes place.
This type of packaging is used outside of primary packaging to group the number of products received, collected to create a stock-keeping unit, commonly referred to as a SKU. We ensure this type of packaging provides protection to help maintain the integrity of the primary packaging. Secondary packaging is frequently made up of multiple components (box, padding, separators, reinforcements, bags, paper, etc.). this is the packaging labeled and way billed to make the shipment easily identifiable in the warehouse and for airline or port operators.
Referred to as bulk, consolidation or transit packaging, this type of packaging is used to group larger quantities of SKUs to transport them from point A to point B (from our warehouse facility to point of final delivery). During this stage, products are handled as distribution units. This type of packaging makes it easier to transport large and or heavy loads safely and securely. In addition to helping prevent damage, it consequently facilitates the handling, storage, and transport of goods. An example of tertiary packaging which you will receive is a Stretch-Wrapped Pallet containing a large quantity of loose cartons, a Wooden Crate containing hazardous or sensitive cargo. This enable efficient and safe product shipping and final delivery.
